All our storage systems are certified, adapted to the customer’s needs, and carry the CE mark certifying their suitability.

To optimize space and speed up product preparation, it’s essential to use storage systems designed around the type of material (sections, cold-drawn bar, angle, tube, sheet, etc.) and the workflow.

At Upmoviom, we analyze our clients’ facilities to create a 100% customized solution that maximizes warehouse capacity and reduces handling times.

We design the industrial storage system around the client’s materials, machinery and working methods, to achieve faster, more orderly and safer logistics.

Upmoviom storage systems let you start with a reduced initial investment, prioritizing the highest-turnover products to speed up return on investment (ROI).

Their modular design also allows the system to be expanded progressively (in phases), adapting it to your business growth and budget.

Upmoviom storage systems are designed to store a wide variety of metal products.

  • In the LM front-loading system, you can store tubes, beams, flat bars, angles, round bars, cold-drawn bar or chromed bars, in carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum, up to 16 metres long.
  • In the RP side-extraction lockers, whole and/or cut lengths and offcuts up to 16 metres long are stored.
  • In the CH sheet system, formats up to 6000×2500 mm are stored safely and efficiently.

The choice of the right system mainly depends on the type of product and the quantities to be stored.

  • Long product packs (tubes, beams, sections). The LM System front-loading storage is recommended, using up to 70% of the available floor area and making efficient use of the building’s height (up to 7 metres). Two systems can also be placed facing each other to further optimize capacity. They are designed depending on whether they will be used with or without an overhead crane.

  • Offcut lockers, RP System. For storing many references or delicate materials in small quantities. It allows up to 100 different references to be organized in just 6 m², thanks to its multiple shelves (up to 10 references per level, with 10 levels each). The RPA/RPF System (side extraction) uses manual or automatic sliding trays to keep everything sorted and accessible — ideal when there is a wide variety of items with uneven turnover.

LM

The top of the LM front-loading storage system can be used as an extra area for storing low-turnover or replenishment materials. Depending on each project’s design, it can be used to store complete packs of bars or profiles, pallets, coils, sheet-metal packs, part containers or other bulky materials.

The upper surface is normally made from grating (tramex), although it can also be built with trapezoidal sheet when working with a pallet truck is required.

In terms of safety, the upper storage area includes side and rear guardrails. Depending on the height, intended use and system configuration, it can also include front fencing, lifelines or anchor points.

Load capacity depends on the installation’s design. As a reference, the system can be configured to support up to 8,000 kg per column, always subject to technical validation for each project.

Yes. Upmoviom’s front-loading storage systems are custom-designed to fit the space available in each industrial building.

This makes it possible to study installations in buildings with columns, low ceilings, narrow passages, doors, limited usable width or structural constraints. It is also possible to design facing systems when the building doesn’t have much width, as long as the layout, material handling and operational safety allow it.

In these cases, the goal is to make the most of the storage capacity without compromising access to the material, internal circulation, or operator safety.

Each project is analysed individually to define the most suitable configuration based on the available space, the type of material and the handling equipment.

The external support carriage is wider than the cell, which makes it easy to separate the bars when the pack is rested on it. This way, you can separate and remove with the crane only the bars you need, safely and efficiently.

To protect delicate materials such as aluminium, stainless or chromed steel, our systems can include protective coatings at the support points. The most common option is the use of Vulkollan strips, a technical material that prevents scratches and damage during storage, loading and unloading.

Thanks to these protections, you can store aluminium, stainless steel or other sensitive materials with total safety.

Upmoviom’s storage systems are designed to make the most of the available height in your industrial building. The recommended maximum height is:

  • 5.8 metres of usable height for storage within the storage cells.
  • An additional 1.5 metres in the upper storage area, ideal for storing complete packs and other bulky material such as coils or large packs, optimising the space under the overhead crane.

In total, you can reach up to 7.3 metres of overall height, ideal for buildings with high clearance and a need to optimise vertical space.

Our storage systems are designed to speed up order preparation, enabling quick and safe removal of material using an overhead crane or forklift. Organising by cells, trays and references improves access and reduces handling times.

LMA

The system is designed for long goods such as tubes, flat bars and standard metal sections. Each project is configured according to the dimensions, weight and physical characteristics of the materials to be stored.

Not necessarily. The system can be configured with the goods receiving area at one end and the order-picking area at the other, creating an orderly and efficient flow of materials through the facility.

Yes. Product references requiring additional stability can be stored using a third intermediate support.

The configuration shown includes two outbound stations and is designed to process two orders in parallel.

If a safety barrier is interrupted during an automated operation, the system stops immediately and must be reset before operation can resume.

CH

Yes, the combined CHX systems are designed to operate with a crane on the lower levels and a forklift on the upper levels. This configuration allows efficient, flexible material handling, adapting to the maximum height the forklift can reach and improving warehouse productivity.

Yes. Upmoviom’s sheet-metal storage systems can be configured to work with or without pallets, depending on how the material arrives, the handling method and the warehouse’s operation.

When sheet metal is stored with pallets, the system allows the material to stay on its blocks or original packaging, making loading and unloading with a forklift easier.

CHX systems storing material with a pallet

When storing without pallets, the trays can include support profiles that leave enough space to safely insert hooks, slings or other lifting equipment.

The system can also include industrial de-palletisers to remove blocks or pallets before placing the sheet directly on the tray. This reduces the space taken up by packaging and makes better use of the system’s capacity.

The choice between storing with or without pallets depends on the space available for the warehouse, the number of references to be stored, the sheet format, the weight of the pack, how often it’s used and the handling equipment available.

If you need to store delicate materials such as stainless sheets, aluminium or sensitive surfaces, our systems offer the option of protecting each tray’s support surface. This protection can include special coatings, anti-scratch materials or insulators that prevent direct contact with the metal, reducing the risk of scratches, contamination or surface damage during storage or handling.

Safety in sheet-metal storage depends on three factors: material stability, control of tray movement and the handling method.

Systems can include front and rear pins to prevent sheets from shifting during loading or unloading. Depending on the model, they can also include side locks, fixing elements and controlled-extraction systems.

Yes, our sheet-metal storage system can be fully automated. It integrates easily with industrial robots or automatic cranes to operate in a synchronised way, optimising warehouse efficiency and allowing it to run safely even with operators present.

RP

Yes. Side and cantilever systems can be designed to store profiles, tubes, bars, and other long materials.

Depending on the project, the system can be adapted to lengths of up to 20 metres, always depending on the type of material, its weight, rigidity, available space, and handling equipment.

Storage system with material up to 16m long

Yes. A side or cantilever storage system can be motorised to make it easier to open, extract, and handle levels with heavy loads. Motorisation is mandatory when the weight per level exceeds 3,000 kg, and optional for lighter loads.

Motorisation improves ergonomics, reduces physical strain on the operator, and allows safer working when handling heavy weights or hard-to-handle materials.

RP scrap, side, or cantilever storage systems are the best solution for storing short metal profiles, delicate materials, or small quantities of each reference. They are ideal for workshops, metal warehouses, and machining centres that need quick, safe access to profiles of various sizes.

A scrap storage system makes better use of the available space and organises many references in a reduced footprint.

Its main advantages are:

  • orderly storage of profiles, tubes, bars, and offcuts
  • quick access to small quantities of material
  • less material scattered on the floor or in walkways
  • the ability to separate references within each level
  • better control of available stock
  • safer handling with a crane, slings, or other auxiliary equipment

Depending on the configuration, the system can store a large number of references in a single column, streamlining the workshop’s or warehouse’s internal logistics.

The scrap storage system can be configured with adjustable, removable dividers that split each level into several independent spaces. This makes it possible to store profiles, tubes, bars, or offcuts of different sizes within the same system, keeping each reference separate and easy to locate.

The compartments can also be adapted with different widths depending on the size of the material. It is also possible to design levels with different heights, combining, for example, large profiles on some levels and small offcuts on others.

This configuration helps make better use of the available volume and keep material organised by type, size, or reference.

Yes. The scrap storage system can include levels with a sheet-metal base for storing short pieces, offcuts, small profiles, or materials of reduced dimensions.

The sheet-metal base keeps material from falling between supports or shifting within the compartment, which improves safety and makes handling easier.

Customized solutions

We design systems to store industrial rollers, dies, pistons, guides, bearings and other heavy, bulky or delicate materials, as well as those with special geometries. We can also study new materials.

We analyse the product’s dimensions, weight, shape and support points, as well as the available space and the handling method. With this data, we adapt the structure, load levels and protections.

It makes better use of space, keeps materials organised and provides safer access. It also reduces unnecessary movements and helps protect products during storage and handling.

Yes. We can incorporate support cradles, spacers and linings such as Vulkollan to reduce direct contact, prevent movement and protect surfaces from knocks and scratches.

Yes. We develop custom industrial storage solutions for products that, because of their weight, dimensions or geometry, cannot be stored properly in conventional systems. Each project is studied together with the client.
