UPMOVIOM’s long products storage system is the only system on the market in which material handling is carried out from the front, compared to Cantilever type lateral handling systems, or others with top extraction with the material piled. It’s also completely safe, fast, reliable and easy to use.
How does it work
UPMOVIOM LM SYSTEM
The system consists of a series of custom-made storage locations according to the client’s needs. Each of these storage locations has inside a gliding support on which the stored material is securely placed. This support glides smoothly and ergonomically through guides, thus facilitating the insertion and removal of any material.
The entire handling process can be carried out by a single operator in a safe and fast way, allowing great flexibility when storing materials individually or in packages and obtaining faster order preparation.

Materials
Ideal for storing metals, such as steel, iron, aluminum, stainless steel, copper or titanium; in the form of bars, tubes, laminates, profiles, angles, plates etc. Given the special characteristics of the storage locations, it is also suitable for storing long wood or pvc products.
Measurements
It can be designed and adapted for materials from 2 to 12 meters in length.
Weights
The maximum capacity of each of the storage locations is 3,000 kg. This capacity can be increased up to 5,000 and 6,000 kg by adding an extra internal sliding support.

INTERIOR
TRAYS
Inside the storage locations you can put trays that are made to fit the storage location and are especially recommended for:
- Re-store material that we have cut and that we have left over.

When we want to store very fine material to keep it straight and not deform. Example for 6 meter long steel material:
· Solid round <12mm
· Solid Square or rectangular <12mm
· Angular <25mm
· Plates <8mm - When we want to store different references with a small amount each and optimize the total space available within the storage location. In this case, we will install separators screwed into the tray so that the references are ordered and differentiated between them.
- Overlapping double trays: they allow us to store 2 trays in a single storage location, the trays fit together and allow the material of both trays to be manipulated.
- When we want to store delicate material in the system that can be scratched or contaminated easily. These trays can be protected to avoid rubbing with the material stored in them.
- To facilitate the loading and unloading of the materials, we have added the possibility of adapting the system to do it from both sides of the storage rack, in this way it can be loaded from the storage warehouse and unloaded towards the production warehouse in a simple way.
EXTRA INTERIOR
SLIDING SUPPORT
Inside the storage locations we can add a second inner sliding support, in addition to the one that is already standard. This is especially recommended for the following cases:

When the material is thin, but not enough to need to install trays. The goal is that the material never deforms when stored. The second support automatically separates from the first to give the material 3 support points when the material is inserted in its location. Taking as an example 6-meter long steel material, we show our recommendation for these cases in the following list:
· 10-25mm square and rectangular tubes
· 10-25mm circular tubes
· 25-12mm solid round
· Square or rectangular solid 25-12mm
· Angles 25-60mm
· 8-20mm thick plates - When the usual weight allowed in each storage location (3,000 kg), we want to increase it so that it can be loaded in each storage location up to 5,000 kg.

WAREHOUSE
In order to further increase the storage capacity of your facilities, we have designed the system in such a way that the upper part can be used as an extra storage area. Thought for whole packages, as stock and then fill in the storages locations; for materials of another type or of different size, or for any other type of material (sheets, 12 m beams, panels…).
It is made by a grid mesh floor, with profiles to support and catch the material with the slings. A walkway corridor can be installed at the back, with safety rail and lifeline so that the operator is at all times completely safe. To access this warehouse we also install, at the customer’s request, a ladder in the most convenient place depending on the needs of the warehouse.
There is the possibility of covering the upper warehouse with tread-plate instead of floor grating, in this way it is possible to work with a pallet truck and store different materials (containers, pallets, …)
Capacity:
For a 6-meter long steel warehouse, the maximum weight allowed is 8 tons on top of each column.
